LES DARONS DU GAME - README
========================================
An independent French video game podcast, running since 2016. Honest
reviews, deep dives and interviews. We talk about what ships, what
flops, and what lasts.
What we do
Reviews: we play, we finish, we call it.
Deep dives: the story of a studio, a series, a scandal.
Interviews: the people who actually make the games.
Arguments: because we never all agree.
What we play on
PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PC, Meta Quest, Steam Deck. And retro,
often, because that is where it all started.
Independence
No sponsored content, no payment, no favours. Press access never binds
our schedule, our tone or our scores. The full rules are in the
editorial charter, available on this desktop.

Editorial charter
This charter binds everyone who contributes to Les Darons du Game. It is public and
applies to all our content: podcast, articles, videos and social media posts.
Independence
Les Darons du Game is an independent, volunteer-run and non-commercial publication. No
content is paid for, sponsored or commissioned, in any form whatsoever. No publisher,
studio, agency or platform has any right of review over our content, either before or
after publication.
The games we cover are either bought by us, obtained after their commercial release, or
provided as press access by a publisher or its PR agency.
Press access entails no obligation to publish, no commitment as to timing, no commitment
as to tone and no promise of a score. We reserve the right not to publish, to publish
late, or to publish an unfavourable opinion. Any request to the contrary results in the
press access being declined.
No financial or material consideration is accepted in exchange for coverage, a
publication schedule, a tone or a score.
Recusal
Any person contributing to Les Darons du Game who also holds a professional role with a
publisher, studio, distributor or service provider in the video game industry is
fully recused from content concerning that company and its productions.
Recusal covers the entire editorial chain:
the decision to cover the subject;
requesting and accepting press access;
dealings with the publisher or PR agency concerned;
writing, reviewing and hosting;
scoring;
proofreading and sign-off before publication.
The content concerned is produced exclusively by other contributors, and says so
explicitly.
Non-public information
No content relies on non-public information, an internal document, a confidential
schedule or a contributor's professional source. The information we publish comes
exclusively from public sources, official communications or our own hands-on testing.
Bylines and responsibility for content
Content is produced by several contributors. Each hands-on impression, critique or
analysis commits its author or authors, not the publication as a whole. The opinions
expressed fall under freedom of expression and the right to free criticism. They in no
way commit the contributors' employers.
Corrections and right of reply
Any request for factual correction or right of reply can be sent to
contact@lesdaronsdugame.fr. We undertake
to respond and to correct any established error, flagging the correction in the content
concerned.

Content is produced by several contributors. Each hands-on impression, critique or

access, in writing, in reviewing, in scoring, in proofreading, or in sign-off before

It depends on what you want: a review for a clear verdict, a deep dive or Story Mode for the bigger picture, or an interview to hear from the people making games. Start with a subject that interests you.
Reviews, where we play and call it. Deep dives into a studio or a scandal. Interviews with the people who actually make the games. And arguments, because we never all agree.
Les Darons du Game is a collective of video game enthusiasts. Everyone has a day job and contributes voluntarily, bringing their own perspective to the discussions and the making of the show.
Not a network, but the same team: we also produce Familles de Coeur, a podcast of first-hand accounts about foster families and child protection. A world away from video games.
No. No paid content, no favours. Press access binds neither our schedule, nor our tone, nor our scores. It is all written down in the charter, this is not a figure of speech.
Never. Anyone working for a publisher is fully recused from content about that company. They do not discuss the game, they do not vote on the score, they are not in the room.
Welcome. We accept codes and announcements, with no guarantee of coverage, timing or tone in return. The charter sets out exactly how we handle press access.

Familles de CĆur gives a voice to foster families, children in care and child protection professionals.
Through sensitive, first-hand accounts, the show explores family bonds, resilience and life stories.
The aim is to shed light on a reality that is often overlooked, without dwelling only on hardship: it is also about regained trust and everyday victories.
Editorial production: Tristan Belotti and Christel Navarro, in collaboration with the La Sauvegarde association.

The consoles of our youth, emulated right in the browser. Pick a machine, open your own file, and off you go.
No games provided. This site distributes neither ROMs nor BIOS files. You open your own files, from your own drive. They never leave your machine: nothing is uploaded, everything runs locally in your browser.
Emulation takes power. On a phone the 8 and 16 bit machines run fine, the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 much less so. Expect a few seconds of loading on the first launch too.
